Polymers are very sensitive to deterioration caused by the sun's ultra-violet rays, and they require protection in case of exterior exposure.
There are two types of protection, which may be used simultaneously :
- The absorption of UV rays by benzophenone or benzotriazole molecules
- Protection against the splitting of polymer chains through molecules called "HALS"
Polytechs offers these two types of masterbatches: HALS-type UV29 and UV32, and UV7BAR which combines both types of protection, not only for the "container", but especially for the "content".
